In the world of Instagram and Twitter, sadly, the above doesn’t hold true anymore. Along with the visual element of your post, many other factors contribute to its popularity. Today, hashtags and captions are as important as the rest of the image. Instagram hashtags not only help you land the right audience for your photos but they also catalog and organize your posts and stories into Instagram’s ever-growing library of images. And ever since Instagram introduced the ‘Follow Hashtag’ feature, adding the right hashtags is now more valuable than ever (profile discovery, remember?) But truth be told, it’s a pain to add hashtags to every post manually. Yeah, Instagram has the auto-suggest feature, but it can only get you so far. Imagine thinking of fifteen different words to describe a single post, leave alone the agony of typing out each word. So, what do you do in situations such as these? Don’t worry. We have curated some of the best Instagram hashtag apps for Android. These apps will help you generate hashtags automatically while others will help you land the right hashtag for your images. Let’s dive straight in.
1. AutoHash
The first app on our list is AutoHash. The name pretty much spills the whole story. This neat little app generates a list of hashtags based on the uploaded image. Yep, you read that right. AutoHash analyzes the image and based on its composition you’ll get a list of related hashtags. And it doesn’t end there. It also adds a couple of tags based on your location. However, my personal favorite is the favorite tab. Here, you can add a tag that you frequently use (such as #GuidingTech), and once the image analysis is complete, tap on the Heart icon, and the app will add the saved tag to the list. To add a favorite tag, tap on the Heart icon, add the tag, and long press on the Heart icon again. If you’re worried about going beyond the limit of 30, AutoHash comes with a counter feature. Tap on the first icon to see the current number. Once everything is settled, tap on the clipboard icon to copy them. Open Instagram and share. Ta-da! The best thing: No obstructive ads Download AutoHash
2. Top Tags
Adding a ton of irrelevant hashtags usually comes across as a desperate call for attention. Sad but true. Hence the best option is to steer clear of redundant and irrelevant tags. Top tags is one of the best apps if you want to-the-point tags. Unlike AutoHash, it doesn’t produce tags on its own. Instead you have to tap on one of the main categories such as Food or Fashion, and it will give you a long list of related items. Your job is to choose one which suits your purpose the best and copy the same to your clipboard. Another way to go about it is to mix & match the popular tags. To do so, tap on the second icon from the right and tap on the Plus icons of whichever categories’ tags you want to add. All the related tags will appear in the box at the top. At this point, you can remove some of the tags that you don’t want. Having done that, copy and paste, and get going with your business. Top Tags has its share of ads in between, though. 3. Leetags
Another hashtag app for Instagram is Leetags. The highlight of Leetags is that it lets you search through its tag database with a keyword. So if you want to search for plant-related tags, simply type Plant, and the associated tags will jump out. Interestingly, it also displays the popularity of each tag in percentage. So if you want to kick out the less popular ones and add a more meaningful tag, you can do that. Once done, it is business as usual. There are a couple of customization tricks as well. You can specify the number or add dots above the hashtags. To avoid repeating the same tags, you can have them shuffled when copying. All these options are available inside the Options tab. Another app that has almost the same functionality is Best HashTags for Instagram (quite a mouthful, I tell you). Download Leetags
4. Tag Me
The makers of Tag Me have combined some of the best features of Instagram Hashtag apps and have shaped them into a beautiful yet easy-to-use app. The first thing that will strike you is its aesthetics. Yep, Tag me is beautifully designed and matches the vibe of Instagram. You get to choose a theme of the app as well. Once done, Tag Me gives you the option to pick your area of interest. For now, there are options like Food, Travel, Art, among others. As soon as you click on one, you’ll be able to see all the trending hashtags. Simply select the ones you need and tap on the Copy icon from the tray below. The good thing is that Tag me shows the number of tags you have copied lest you run out of the number specified for Instagram tags. More importantly, you can also mark your frequently-used tags as favorites so that you do not have to repeat the mundane tasks of Select & Copy every day.

Get More Reach and Followers
For public profiles, failure to add relevant tags is almost like having a private profile. Only your current following will see your post. In other words, there will be no engagement and no new followers. Next time you upload a new picture to Instagram, do try out the apps above and tell us which one you liked the most.
